摘要
A linear multiobjective programming model has been developed and the constraints technique is used to derive the optimal releases for various purposes from a multipurpose reservoir. Maximisation of hydropower and maximisation of irrigation releases have been considered as the twin objectives in the model subjected to constraints. In order to demonstrate the application of model, a case study on 'Pench Hydro Electric Project' has been considered in this paper. The model is applied to three different conditions of inflows and results are recorded which shall be the basis for the best operating policy of multipurpose reservoir for remaining period of the year after the monsoon period is over. Three different conditions of inflow representing critical year rainfall, average rainfall year and maximum rainfall in last twenty years are considered in this paper. A case study of the 'Pench Hydro Electric Project' is described in this paper. The storage at Totaladoh dam which is constructed on Pench river is utilised for power generation only. A balancing and supplemental storage to impound the varying tail race discharge from Totaladoh peaking power station has been contemplated at Kamthikheri 23 km downstream of Totaladoh dam. Water from Kamthikheri reservoir is released for irrigation and water supply to Nagpur city and thermal power station at Koradi through canals (refer Fig. 1). The outflows from Totaladoh reservoir is considered as inflows for Kamthikheri reservoir.
