摘要
This report is basically concerned with the calculation of the dedusting efficiency of conventional cyclones. The dedusting efficiency of fractions can be calculated very precisely according to Leith and Licht and from this, if the particle size distribution of the dust before cyclone processing is known, also the total dedusting efficiency. The method of calculation of Leith and Licht leads in many cases to useful results, which correspond somewhat to practical measurement data, although some of the factors used do not necessarily appear to be logical. The idea correlation of results of calculation and measurement data as presented by these authors can only be proved in a certain range, so that is appears to make sense to carry out and evaluate further measurements for investigating for which cyclones and to what extent a prediction of the dedusting efficiency can be obtained.
