SENSOR APPLICATIONS FOR HOME APPLIANCES.

In accordance with application of electronic technology to home appliance such as air conditioner, washing machine and cooking equipment, more sensors have been used and have become very important to enhance its usefulness, comfortability and efficiency in energy saving. By product segment this paper describes the trends of the development of home appliance to meet various user needs. It also presents the current and future trends of sensor application technology for home appliance. It is considered there are two ways in the development of sensor technology. (1) Developing new sensing devices to realize new functions. (2) Integrating conventional sensing devices with micro-computers to improve functions.
