It is noted that certain features of photo cones and photo wedges, which make it difficult for them to be combined with ordinary radiation receivers, prevent their wide use in solar energy practice. Non-Soviet radiation receivers operating jointly with photo cones and photo wedges are described. In order to minimize the leaving angles of rays from these concentrators, double systems are proposed consisting of photo cones and photo wedges joined by small apertures. The use of double systems is particularly convenient in combination with solar cells whose efficiency decreases at large angles of ray incidence.
