Polyurethanes: New Solutions to Meet Present Needs.

As far as processing is concerned, it is known that the quality of the finished part mainly depends on the precision of the components determination, on the quality of their blending and on the way they are introduced into the mould. A new mixing-head achieved by Hennecke provides a solution to this problem. Another type of material, the Rimdomat machine, is also described. Fitted out with an electronic control, it allows a digital programmation of the determination ratio of two components, of the determination speed and of the determined volumes. This technology gives vast regulation opportunities, a good reproductibility of the parameters, as well as providing automation. It is particularly adapted to the moulding of parts made of PUR reinforced with glass fibre, and made in large series for the bodies of cars.
