A program system for computing and optimizing pass sequences for two-high and four-high cold strip rolling mills is presented (initialized BOSFEKUG). Handling and practice-relatedness of the software package is illustrated at a 130/390 multiplied by 400 four-high cold rolling non-ferrous heavy metals stand. The qualitative and quantitative effects achieved are worked out and underlined by selected data.
