摘要
A method of calculating the quantizing and roundoff noise variance in recursive digital filters consisting of elementary second-order sections (resonators) connected in tandem is proposed. The relations obtained in the paper serve to calculate the output-noise variance of a digital cascade-structured filter from the noise-source variance and the coefficients of the transfer functions of the elementary sections. The resulting noise variance at the filter output is shown to depend on the order in which the filter sections are connected.
