摘要
For the purpose of determining the relationship between the parameters of a deflecting system and the characteristics of a traveling wave tube (TWT), as well as to explain the influence of ddifferent factors on the frequency and time properties of the TWT, the frequency and transient response of a traveling wave tube are computed by allowing for the transit time of the coil winding, the inconsistency in the speeds of the electromagnetic wave and the electrons, dispersion and damping in the deflecting system, the frequency dependence of the wave resistance of the system, echoes from its input and output and the dependence of the transverse component of the electric field on frequency with a constant power transmitted along the system.
