摘要：
Optical waveguide switch is one of the basic devices in optical switching network. Four kinds of semiconductor switches were briefly reviewed. These switches were fabricated by means of electrooptical effects, bandfilling effects, quantum confinements stark effects and plasma effects. This paper comprehensively introduced the development trend of waveguide switches based on these mentioned effects.
