摘要
Solid modeling is becoming increasingly practical for a broad range of tasks in design and manufacturing. Although solid modeling is far from pervasive, the technology is being used in a growing list of applications and promises to become the predominate method of geometric modeling. The consensus of most experts is that solid modeling is the ″wave of the future″ in geometric modeling.
