The general problems of the manufacturing mechanics of composite material structures as a new branch of mechanics, the extent to which these problems have been solved, and directions of further progress were reviewed and characterized. The review addressed the following parameters: mathematical modeling of the heat conductivity processes, defect formation in the macrostructure of products made of composite materials, problems of controlling the quality of composite material components during production, modeling the effect of special features of manufacturing technology on the load-carrying capacity and quality of products made of composite material, and optimization of design and technological projects. The results were found to solve some applied problems by analogy with engineering mechanics and may be referred to as processing mechanics.
