In 1995 a new type of MRS for blue and UV light detection was designed by Z. Sadygov and produced with financial support from INFN (Italy) 19,101, and a second batch of these detectors was made in 1996. The characteristics of both batches are similar and confirm the repeatability of the technological process. Here we present results of a detailed investigation on these devices especially designed for light detection with wavelength in the range 200-600 nm (UV MRS);
