The Metropolitan Section of ASCE has undertaken a program of Employer Accreditation as one means of implementing Manual 55, ″ASCE Guide to Employment Conditions for Civil Engineers.″ The Accreditation Program is based on the degree to which each firm seeking accreditation approaches the guidelines of Manual 55. Twenty firms representing over 2,000 engineers were evaluated and 10 were accredited.
