摘要
A two-dimensional, multi-material, Eulerian code is applied to a variety of problems of interest to munitions designers. A brief summary of selected results from these solutions, which involve hypervelocity impact, ballistic impact, shaped charges and fragmenting munitions, is provided. The advantages of such numerical techniques and the ways in which they can complement existing techniques in the design of new munitions, beginning in the pre-design stages and continuing through to the final choice of design parameters, are discussed in detail.
