By making use of quenching and thermal analysis technology, experiments showed that the solidification process of CV-graphite cast iron during the eutectic reaction can be divided into two stages. There is continuous re-distribution of the graphitizing elements in the melt. This is one of the factors causing deformation of the graphite morphology.
