CUMMINS INTRODUCES THREE ENGINE SERIES.

Three series of diesel engines - the B and C series and the L10 series - are being introduced to the oil industry by Cummins Engine Co. Inc. The B series consists of separate models of three, four and six cylinders with respective displacements of 2. 9, 3. 9 and 5. 9 liters. This series includes power ratings from 46 to 177 hp and ratings of 1500-2500 rpm for general oilfield use. The C series, available in 1985, will consist of heavier duty, six-cylinder engines with 8. 3-liter displacement. This series will produce from 158 to 250 hp and will have an rpm rating of 2200 for general oilfield applications. The L10 series features a compact, lighter weight design, yet it is a powerful engine for long life and reliability.
