摘要
Computerized energy management and building automation systems have saved millions of dollars for users over the years. Timed programming, electric demand limiting, duty cycling and other vendor-provided programs have made a significant dent in energy consumption. Computed point and interlocking features on sophisticated energy management systems are an answer for many applications. Some applications require that the user has a programming capability of a high-level language compiler or a custom application language. This article examines the evolution of computerized energy management and building automation systems that led to these energy saving tools, applications that invite their use, and some specific programming examples.
