摘要
The three-dimensional finite element model, developed by the first author, is shown to be capable of correctly estimating all flows of ground water and contaminants under any type of aquifer boundary and geometry conditions. The computer program is subdivided into two subprograms for data processing and model running respectively. The second subprogram can be further split up to accommodate the problem from a moderately large to a medium size computer. The intermediate results are stored on various disk files for later use. This model can predict the ground water flow distribution and associated (if any) salt concentrating at discrete locations more accurately than any other model within the country because of its advanced numerical technique to solve even a complicated three-dimensional transient flow problem under unconfined and anisotropic aquifer conditions.
