A partition fluorescent lamp is described in concept, construction, and operation. Coupled with adapters, the lamp unit has been operated at an overall circuit efficacy of about 29 Im/W, twice the efficacy of a 60-W incandescent lamp. Three different lamp controlling circuits are described.
