摘要：
A review of early to modern epoxy resin chemistry is provided. Emphasis is then placed on the use of multifunctional epoxy resins and hardeners in high solids coatings. These high performance systems have exceptional chemical, acid, and solvent resistance even at high temperatures. Use of many of these high solids solvent free coatings are popular in the energy production and storage industries, for example drill pipe coatings, oil transportation pipes and fuel storage tank linings.
