摘要
An axially-loaded stepped cylindrical rod is studied. This rod is composed of two semi-infinite rods connected at each end. The problem is reduced to the solution of a set of simultaneous equations under the continuity conditions of the displacement and the stress at the contact plant. By these equations, the order of the stress singularity at the corner can be obtained. The numerical solutions of stresses at the contact plane are obtained for various ratios of the shear moduli and the radii.
