A mobile crushing plant supplied by Krupp went into operation in the Dotternhausen Rudolf Rohrbach KG Portland Cement Works at the foot of the Suabian Mountains in Bavaria. This plant crushes 300 tons of oil shale an hour, a proportion of which is used as a component in cement making. Most of it, however, is used in the works' own power station, thus making the cement works independent of the public power supply.
