摘要
A new process for the removal of phosphate from digester supernatant is described. The process, which generally uses no chemicals, is based on the thermal and/or vacuum decomposition of ammonium bicarbonate in the supernatant. The resulting increase in pH effects the precipitation of magnesium ammonium phosphate and other insoluble phosphates. Ultimate disposal of the phosphate is achieved by its separation and recovery as a saleable fertilizer containing magnesium ammonium phosphated.
