摘要
The LoNOx melter is designed to achieve all current and anticipated emission standards of the TA-Luft regulations, without the use of external systems for waste gas treatment. In the LoNOx design, waste gases leaving the furnace at a temperature of about 1000°C enter a combined radiation/convection recuperator unit. This unit provides both combustion air and gas preheating with exit temperatures of about 700°C for the air and about 500°C for the gas being achieved. The much lower air preheat values used with this arrangement compared with those obtained in a regenerative furnace are necessary, in order to produce a significant reduction in NOx production.
