摘要
A general analysis of the effect of curvature and displacement is carried out for the unsteady two-dimensional motion of a cylinder which starts from rest and moves in an incompressible fluid with a velocity varying as some power of time. The problem has been solved on the basis of the Navier-Stokes equations by the method of matched asymptotic expansions. It is found that in the case of a circular cylinder, the higher order effects delay flow separation.
