摘要
The authors consider the problem of determining the mean time between failures for a device with majority redundancy, allowing for asymmetry of failures, the complexity of the majority elements, and an arbitrary number of redundancy levels. The effect of these factors on the reliability gain (in terms of the criterion of mean time between failure) is investigated. It is shown that the mean time depends strongly on the level of redundancy and on the complexity of the majority elements.
