摘要
The synthesis of new single-site olefin polymerization catalysts is studied. To initiate polymerizations using the Pd(II) catalysts, soluble salts of general structure are employed, while entry into the Ni(II) systems is made through methylaluminoxane (MAO) activation of the Ni(II) dihalide complexes. Based on NMR studies, the mechanism shown is proposed to account for ethylene and α-olefin polymerization, using ethylene for simplicity.
