Overvoltages in Low-Voltage Regulating Coil Winding in a Transformer with Delta Connected High-Voltage Windings.

Lightning surges associated with the application of regulating windings and methods of limiting these surges are discussed. It is shown that when determining overvoltages, satisfactory results are given by an approximate analysis based on capacitive distribution. Verifying measurements have been carried out. It is shown that a high capacitance to a grounded outer shield is an effective and economic solution.
