TWO YEARS ON AT TUBARAO.

By the end of 1983 the steelworks at Tubarao in the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil, had been fully commissioned to its Stage I level. It is now producing slabs to its designed capacity, largely for the export market. The plant includes one of the world's largest blast furnaces, and probably the last slabbing mill ever to be installed.
