HOLOCENE CLIMATE OPTIMUM AS A MODEL OF THE GLOBAL CLIMATE OF THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY.

The global climate events of the last 16,000 years are discussed, based on various indirect data (paleontological, oxygen isotope, glaciological, etc. ) using the radiocarbon method. Noted is the complexity of climate fluctuations in the late glacial period, the Holocene. Two climatic optimums are identified most clearly: Early Boreal (8. 9-8. 8 thousand years ago) and Late Atlantic (6. 2-5. 5 thousand years ago). This work presents schematic maps of the difference in summer air temperature and mean global precipitation totals between the time of the climatic optimum (6. 2-5. 5 thousand years ago) and the modern epoch.
