Spontaneous neutron bursts as a source for the reactivity determination by pulse neutron methods

The aim of the paper is to develop a technique for using a spontaneous fission chamber for reactivity measuring by means of pulse neutron methods. Besides the technique complexity of obtaining results should not exceed the complexity of an usual pulse method. In connection with this aim the possibility of using the 252Cf fission chamber as a source for measuring the reactor reactivity by pulse neutron methods is shown. In addition to two known modes of operation with the californium chamber the third mode of the recalculated start is proposed. This mode permits simply to measure the reactivity by any pulse neutron method.
