摘要
The SOI-based photonic band-gap waveguides were fabricated and promising experimental results were obtained. It was shown tha such short straight waveguides can be used with both polarizations and little losses on a wide wavelength range. In addition, imperfections related light coupling between two modes of the waveguide were observed as well. A good agreement was found between calculated features and experimental observations.
