摘要
The disposal of fine-sized mineral wastes discarded by ore milling plants require some type of stabilization to prevent air and water pollution. Because these tailings ponds are located under widely varying climatic conditions and their physical and chemical characteristics are not constant, many methods have been developed for stabilizing tailings. The paper delineates the magnitude of the problems associated with the reclamation of milling plant wastes and discusses the various methods that have been developed and used.
