摘要
In this paper, the hybrid bearing performance of an externally pressurized gas-lubricated foil bearing with porous shaft is anlayzed theoretically for the case where the hydrodynamic effect due to the foil velocity is predominant while the hydrostatic gas supply is relatively small. The solutions perturbed by the hydrostatic effect are obtained for the bearing clearance and the pressure distribution. The effects of the most important parameters, the ratio of supply pressure to foil tension and the wrap angle, on the bearing characteristics are discussed on the basis of the results of theoretical calculations.
