摘要
After describing the demands made on sensor systems, the authors discuss the main advances which can be expected in sensor technology. Only optical sensors are dealt with as, except in special cases, it is only these which appear suitable for flexible robot welding systems. All in all, it appears that considerable progress has been made with regard to obtaining the relevant positional and geometrical data. So far, however, this progress has not been turned to account because the coupling problems have not yet been solved.
