Electric Operation of Trains of the West German Railroad System During 1975.

The evolution of electric operation since foundation of the system is reviewed. Various statistical data about electric traction are stated for the year 1975. A survey of electrified lines deals with the dates when they became operational and with the lines actually being equipped. Stock numbers, deliveries and orders of electric motive units are pointed out. The present state and further development of the traction power supply facilities are reported. A survey is presented about the Railroad System's tests in electrical engineering and of its participation in national and international associations of electrical engineering.
