Scale-up study for the oxidation of naphthalene to phthalic anhydride in fluidized bed reactors - with experiment in φ42, φ800 and φ3600 mm reactor

摘要：
The oxidation of naphthalene to phthalic anhydride was carried out in φ42 φ800 and φ3600 mm fluidized bed reactors respectively. The results show that there is no difference in the product yield. This implies that the scale-up problem of catalytic fluidized bed reactors has been solved for this process. Factors affecting the yield are also discussed.
