摘要
Development of bainitic microstructure through accelerated cooling following hot working of low and medium carbon microalloyed steels for the production of forged automobile components have attracted major interest in recent times. The present work is an attempt to highlight the microstructural variants evolved by spray cooling of a 0.18% carbon V-microalloyed steel from different reheating temperatures (900 to 1300 °C) and the resulting monotonic tensile and cyclic behavior, especially in the short life regime.
