Challenges of ergonomics in South Africa

Ergonomics is a science used to study, develop and apply characteristics of human beings in systems or facilities used in their daily life in their own environment. This paper discusses the ergonomics problems observed in South African industries. It touches on the diversity of skills present in the South African population. It also explores a participatory approach to ensure a proper administration of ergonomics and a professional integration of the human characteristics for ergonomics inputs.
