摘要
The surface of an 18/8 austenitic stainless steel was examined by scanning electron microscopy after electropolishing in both new and aged solutions based on three different ratios of phosphoric to sulphuric acid. 2 g l** minus **1 copper in the solution reduced the power required for electropolishing and affected the potential required to minimize electrolytic loss of water and avoid gassing defects.
