Optimization of a two-coordinate piezoceramic light deflector (TPLD) is performed using the criterion of maximum speed of response. The light deflector consists of two piezoceramic plates, an insertion, which connects plates and a mirror. One end of deflector piezodrive is rigidly fixed, the other is connected with the mirror. Optimization procedure of geometrical parameters of the piezodrive comprises finding the relation between drive and mirror dimensions, which provides maximum frequency of a mechanical resonance. Using optimization technique, the TPLD is designed with the following parameters: mirror diameter - 20 mm, thickness and length of piezoceramic plates - 3.2 mm and 23 m correspondingly, average thickness of the piezodrive - 7.1&middot103 kg/m3, Young's modulus of piezoceramics - 70 GPa, limiting field strength in piezoceramics - 106V/m. Scanning angles of 0.25° C at the 2.8 kHz resonance frequency are obtained using TPLD. The deflector is designed for a laser beam position stabilization system.
