摘要
The boundary-layer growth in the early stages of the motion of an impulsively started body is studied and the skin frictional force is calculated. The solid spins about the axis of revolution and at the same time moves forward in a direction oblique to this axis. The question that arises is: How do the two individual motions affect the initial motion of the boundary layer? The results are outlined for the case of a sphere.
