Software adds dimension to optical designers' skills

The optical design software has become increasingly sophisticated due to the advancement of applications of PCs based on the 80386 and 80486 processors. The attributes of any optical design software will normally adopt to the different prerequisites throughout the optical industry. According to Goedel's theorem there exists a logical extent up to which all forms of algorithms may be applied. However, lens design may still be optimized with application of the appropriate algorithm in optical software.
