摘要
A study on the energy release rate for cracks propagating of particle and matrix interface in functionally gradient materials (FGM) was carried out. The thermal stress for the matrix-particle interface was calculated by using a double-layer-embedment model, also the relation between the stress and metal volume fraction was obtained, and then the energy release rate and the change of critical particle size (radius) in the graded layers were given.
