摘要
The paper describes a plant for the heating of slabs with holding furnaces which is equipped with microelectronic control; the layout consists of a medium-frequency induction heating section, an intermediate roll table and furnace. It processes slabs having a variety of dimensions and made from various materials; the heating time is shorter than that required by conventional plants. Moreover, the layout requires less space.
