CAPACITOR MATERIALS WITH LOW SINTERING TEMPERATURE AND GOOD DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES.

The system 0. 7 Pb(Fe//1/////2Nb//1/////2)O//3-0. 3 Pb(Fe//2/////3W//1/////3)O//3 modified with aluminium (Al) and Pb(Zn//1/////3Nb//2/////3)O//3 is used in the manufacture of high-quality materials for ceramic capacitors. The sintering temperature is reduced to 820 by adding Al, and samples show a higher dielectric constant than those of the system doped with Pb(Zn//1/////3NB//2/////3). The results are explained in terms of the role of lattice defects and the effect of the relative size variations of ions in the modified crystal lattice.
