The first quarter results for Latin American paper and pulp producers were announced. A list price of $610-620 per tonne was reported by eucalyptus producers. The Argentinean packaging producer, Zucamor saw clever marketing bearing fruit. The strategy of Votorantim Celulose Oaoerl's (VCP) to gain market share from paper imports would provide cushion againts the downturn n the pulp market. Zucamor strategy was to target main fruit producer coupled with a rationalization program.
