Considerations of the Automation of Tensile Tests.

Automated tensile tests in the manufacture of steel products are dealt with. Discussed is the current status of development of electronically controlled tensile stress testing machines, the problems involved in adapting the tensile test and the testing machine to electronic data processing, and automation of tension specimen manufacture and testing.
