Dynamic analysis of restrained viscoelastic pipe conveying fluid

Incremental harmonic balance method (IHBM) is applied to nonlinear dynamic analysis of a Kelvin-Voigt type viscoelastic cantilevered pipe conveying fluid with nonlinear motion-limiting constraints in this study. The analysis of amplitude-frequency characteristic of the system influenced by several parameters (flow velocity, mass ratio, viscoelastic coefficient and so on) is focused on. A unstable phenomena - a large pulse summit value at certain frequency of the amplitude of vibration excited by inner flow velocity, which are proved to be important for this kind of structure, are presented in the numerical results.
