Influence of copper-containing additives on tribotechnical properties of the 'Lita' plastic lubricant

We compare the properties of metal-plating lubricants containing metal powders and complex metal compounds. It is shown that the properties of the metal-plating lubricants can be controlled by regulating the composition of the packet of metal-plating additives. It is found that the selection of the specific form of metal-plating lubricants and additives must be made with account for the friction interaction conditions. The electron microscopy method is used to study the mechanism of metal-plating film formation as a function of additive composition.
